Studio 111 Architecture

Studio 111 Architecture is a Philadelphia-based, full service Architectural firm carrying out projects in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland. Paying specific attention to site, sustainable building principles, and urban design, our work has been applied to adaptive re-use and new construction projects.  

Since 2008, we have emphasized being inventive, responsive, and hands-on. All of our projects are treated as a collaborative effort in order to achieve the client’s vision. We work closely with our clients through extensive research, creative design, effective communication, and positive working relationships. 

Studio 111 Architecture is proud to be a part of the International Living Future Institute’s Just program. This voluntary disclosure program acts as a “nutrition label” for organizations, measuring how we compare to industry best practices in key areas. While we continually improve, you can see where we currently stand with our Just label.

Studio 111 designed plans for our city roof deck. JP conveniently met us in our home and was always punctual as well as professional.  His architectural plans were completed before each deadline, neatly and with detail. JP discussed the plans with us, and modified the plans accordingly. He attended any zoning meetings that were necessary and coached us through the planning process of building a roof deck in Philadelphia. They did a complete renovation of the first floor of a historical building in the center of Philadelphia. It is now a Juice Bar. They were with of us every step of the way from architectural design to building codes to health department to construction. They were responsive to our needs and made the whole process feel like we were a team. Everything went well. When there were problems, they consulted with us and never moved forward without our permission.

I met with Studio 111 to discuss some prospects for new construction, specifically I was interested in building on a lot in the Graduate Hospital area of Philadelphia. My first impression was that they were punctual and cordial. We spoke for over an hour, discussing layouts, variances, neighborhood organizations, garages and other matters pertaining to the difficulties of building on the particular lot I referenced.  They seemed well-versed with the process.  Prior to our meeting, they had obtained an estimate for tying into the city's water and sewage lines, something that I had not asked them to do. This information was particularly helpful. I found their rough construction estimate to be a fair estimate.  A couple days later, I received an email that made it clear they had given serious consideration to some of the ideas we discussed at the meeting.  Ultimately, the limitations of the lot proved to be the death knell for any new construction plans. I will definitely use Studio 111 when I find another lot to build on.
